(Press Release) ​Boca Raton, FL (April 30, 2024) – Supporters of Boca Helping Hands (BHH) passed go at the sold-out 2024 MONOPOLY® & Casino Night on April 13 at The Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, Boca Raton. Guests enjoyed casino gaming, music and dancing, auctions, an interactive art installation, cocktails, dinner, and, of course, the crowning of 2024’s MONOPOLY® champion, Keith Nassetta. This year’s gala was a “Technicolor” spectacular, transporting guests to a Las Vegas casino with ostrich feather centerpieces, red accents, and sparkle that brought the event to life.
 
The success of the 2024 Monopoly & Casino Night was largely due to the hard work of a spectacular event committee led by Co-Chairs Reagan Heidelberg & Gloria Hosh, consisting of Ronnie Bidder, Yoli Brennan, Susan Brockway, Andrea Chang, Melanie De Vito, Robin Deyo, Justin Ely, Christie Galeano-DeMott, Olivia Hollaus, Zoe Lanham, Mark Malis, Janean Mileusnic, Yvette Palermo, Antonio Postorino, Jessica Price, Linda Spielman, Trisha Vaca, and Yasmine Zyne-Coleman.

"We are still flying high from the Monopoly and Casino event," said Gloria Hosh, Event Committee Co-chair. "The room was filled with such good vibes and energy." Reagan Heidelberg, Co-chair, added, "The event was a resounding success and will help make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of those we serve."
 
Proceeds from the event will help assist 35,000 people in the South Florida community through BHH’s various programs, including hunger relief, job training, healthcare, emergency financial assistance, childcare, and weekend meals for Palm Beach County school children.

More than 150 historically significant vehicles were showcased, including the 2023 Pebble Beach Concours winner, 1931 Cadillac.

The community event included live bands, artists, awards, and experiences curated for the whole family. Proceeds benefited the Achievement Centers for Children & Families (ACCF), Delray Citizens for Delray Police, Delray Fire Benevolent, and the Community Classroom Project.

Although not the largest of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Palm Beach Gardens concrete pours, this pour is significant because it showcases that the project’s progress is continuing to surge forward. ​

(Press Release) April 29, 2024 (Lake Worth Beach, Fla.) -- Autumn Koti Horne is a storyteller at heart.

A performance and visual artist based in Lake Worth Beach, Kioti Horne began by writing a poem. Then, using found materials and waste items, reusing depleted sunlight-sensitive solution reconstituted with rain and seawater from the nearby lagoon, Kioti Horne has stitched, knitted, sketched and cobbled together a visual tale addressing the confluence of mental health, climate change, and the struggle to navigate a world where one can never quite find a comfortable home.

Kioti Horne’s exhibition today i am a monster will take place at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County’s Solo Gallery from May 9 through June 15. Free and open to the public, hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

(Press Release) Boca Raton, FL (April , 2024) – Boca Helping Hands (BHH) celebrated its volunteers during an appreciation dinner entitled “A Night of Hearts” on April 17 at The Addison of Boca Raton, which hosted 200 guests. The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Michael Moran, and the Mel Lazerick Lifetime Achievement Award went to Patricia McCarthy. Fifteen other individuals and six regular volunteer groups were also recognized for their outstanding service to the organization in 2023. 

With a staff of only 25 employees, Boca Helping Hands relies on its over 300 regular volunteers to provide the range of services it offers to clients. Last year, BHH volunteers contributed almost 58,000 hours of their time to assist the organization in serving the community.
