Fuller Center Opens Summer Camp Registration

(PRESS RELEASE)_Boca Raton, FL —Continuing its mission to offer safe, enriching, and affordable childcare for working families providing fundamental services to the community,  the Fuller Center has announced that spaces are now available for its 2021 Summer Camp program at both Fuller Center locations – East Campus (200 NE 14th Street, Boca Raton); and West Campus (10130 185th Street South, Boca Raton.) Both Fuller Center campuses have been operating under strict safety protocols and have had no spread of COVID since June 15, 2020.

SUMMER CAMP INFO:
Days: Monday through Friday
Dates: Mon., June 21 – Fri., August 6
Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $140 per week
Scholarships are also available through Palm Beach County Youth Services, with those applications due by April 2.
ELC vouchers are also accepted.
Includes: Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack, plus field trip admission fees

All Fuller Center Camp Counselors are certified in CPR with AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) for infant, child and adult.

Jesse Young Added to Sexton Concert

The safely pod-centric and socially distanced concert is being produced at Old School Square by T-Presents, House of Parnes, and MusicWorks. Each pod is like a private box that can comfortably accommodate up to four people, with prices starting at $120 per pod. The exclusive VIP Pod ($280) includes four seats and a table, bar service through the app Noble, and the very best views of the stage.
 
About Martin Sexton:
Widely considered a “musician’s musician,” Sexton started as a street performer in Boston before winning the Artist of the Year Award in 1994 from the National Academy of Songwriters. “With so much of the COVID lockdown blessedly behind us, Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest botanical garden is inviting garden enthusiasts, plant lovers, and proud ‘green-thumbers’ of all ages to come out and enjoy some of our many safe, healthy and happy horticultural activities in June,” says Mounts Curator-Director Rochelle Wolberg.

Relieve stress and increase your metabolism, flexibility and strength.  Qi Gong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique. The exercises include simple, slow movements (which mimic nature), meditation and focused breathing—similar to Tai Chi. Each class will begin with a gentle walk to the Exhibit Hall, followed by exercises. Classes will be led by Roxanne Cumberland.

Sumi-e is a form of Japanese ink painting brought from China in the 12th century. Primarily done in black ink, sumi-e means, "charcoal drawing" in Japanese. Students grind their own ink using an ink stick and a grinding stone and learn to hold and utilize brushes to create primary brushstrokes. Floral and landscape classes will start with a review of the basic techniques before moving on to the main subject.
