(PRESS RELEASE)_MIAMI (Sept. 29, 2023) – Brightline and partner Wi-Tronix have been awarded $1,648,000 from the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) competitive grant program. The investment will enable the development of the AI-backed monitoring system, Wi-Tronix, to collect real-time data of trespass activity along the Brightline/FEC Railway corridor. The data collected by locomotive front-end cameras will guide future decisions related to infrastructure, enforcement and education. Once developed, the first-of-its-kind system could be used by railroads across the country.

The Mall at Wellington Green is pleased to host its annual Pink Party in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Highlights will include student performances, bra decorating, face painting and airbrush tattoos, and a lively Zumba master class (a $10 donation will benefit the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk). Participants will hear inspiring stories from survivors and thrivers and learn about early breast cancer detection and prevention from Wellington Regional Medical Center and the American Cancer Society.

The 32 semifinalists will be announced on October 10, and on December 13 the nine finalists are announced along with the grand prize winner.

Just added, a House Made Basket Ricotta ($17) which is a buttermilk, unsalted ricotta. This fresh cheese is named for the basket it's molded in. Creamy and sweet, this ricotta has a spoonable texture. It’s served with speck, smoked prosciutto, fruit and mint.
 
Sundays will feature Veal Saltimbocca ($38), two three-ounce filets of veal pounded thin and layered with cotto prosciutto, aged provolone and sage, sauteed in a white wine butter sauce and served with fingerling potatoes.

(PRESS RELEASE)_(South Florida – September 27, 2023) Gary Schweikhart, board president of the Carbonell Awards, South Florida’s Theater & Arts Honors, today announced the nominations in 20 competitive categories for the 2022-2023 theater season. A total of 45 productions at 22 different theatres were evaluated by a diverse group of more than 30 experienced judges representing all three participating counties (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach).
 
For participating theaters, Zoetic Stage topped the list with 20 nominations, followed by Maltz Jupiter Theater with 19, 18 for GableStage, Ronnie Larsen Presents/Plays of Wilton with 14, Palm Beach Dramaworks with nine, and Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre  and Slow Burn Theatre Company tied with eight nominations each. Collectively, 120 nominations were distributed among 17 different theaters.
