Produced by Imagine Exhibitions, Nature POP! blends art, science, and innovation in the display of the New York-based artist’s newest, never-before-seen sculptures. Known for his ability to make striking works of art using simple LEGO toys, Kenney pushes the boundaries of the medium in this new exhibition through his use of vibrant colors and a bold, graphical style. Inspired by the Pop art movement, Kenney’s work on Nature POP! plays on that movement’s principles by blurring the boundaries between austere and the everyday, and draws from a belief that everything is interconnected.
 
Nature POP! invites guests to consider how just as LEGO bricks are interconnected, so is everything in nature. The intricate displays explore the relationships that exist in nature, whether that be the delicate balance between predators and prey, the commonalities between species as they care for their young, or the impact that humankind has on the natural world. Supporting content enhances the experience with scientific facts about the creatures presented in the displays.

She was a girl from Boston with a voice from heaven, who shot through the stars from gospel choir to dance floor diva. But what the world didn’t know was how Donna Summer risked it all to break through barriers, becoming the icon of an era and the inspiration for every music diva who followed.  With a score featuring more than 20 of Summer’s classic hits including “Love to Love You Baby,” “Bad Girls” and “Hot Stuff,” this electric experience is a moving tribute to the voice of a generation.

The three actresses that share the role of musical icon Donna Summer are Brittny Smith as “Diva Donna,” Charis Gullage as “Disco Donna” and Amahri Edwards-Jones as “Duckling Donna.”

(PRESS RELEASE)_​Palm Beach, FL (December 16, 2021) - The YMCA of the Palm Beaches hosted its 13th Annual Prayer Breakfast on Friday, December 10 at The Breakers Palm Beach with a crowd of nearly 350  enthusiastic supporters.  
 
This year's featured speaker was Heisman Trophy winner and University of Florida star quarterback, Danny Wuerffel, who spoke passionately about service to others. As Executive Director of Desire Street Ministries in Atlanta, and the namesake of The Wuerffel Trophy, which honors an NCAA football player annually for exceptional service to community off the field, Wuerffel presented a powerful and inspirational message to the rapt crowd.
 
The morning began with a welcome by Town of Palm Beach Mayor Danielle Moore, who led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance with help from a dozen YMCA preschoolers. The opening prayer was given by Pastor Jimmy Scroggins, Senior Pastor of Family Church. Tim Leuliette, YMCA of the Palm Beaches’ Board Chairman, gave a brief presentation on the YMCA’s current and future work in the community. Introducing the keynote speaker was Dan T. Cathy, Chairman of Chick-fil-A, who emphasized the morning’s theme of the importance of service to others. The event was wrapped-up by Dale Hedrick, of Hedrick Brothers Construction, a long-time supporter of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches.

All funds raised at the Prayer Breakfast go to provide financial assistance to deserving low income families in Palm Beach County who participate in a variety of services and programs that the YMCA offers, such as preschool, after-school care, youth sports, summer day camp and lifesaving swim lessons.

The large-scale mural in store was created by Miami-based artist, Tatiana Suarez, whose work can be seen from Hawaii to Sweden and most locally at Miami’s famous Wynwood Walls. The mural utilizes the warmth and vibrant colors of the local sunsets and features the invasive lionfish – a look ahead into P448’s environmental initiatives launching early 2022.

(PRESS RELEASE)_MIAMI (December 21, 2021) – Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly, intercity rail in America, has commenced construction of the new Brightline/Downtown Library Parking Garage for its future Boca station. Brightline’s contractor, Kaufman Lynn, has started initial work on the site. This project, which is a partnership between Brightline, the City of Boca Raton and the Federal Railroad Administration, is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022. Upon completion, the 4.5 story, 455-space garage will include the necessary parking for Brightline’s Boca station as well as a separate entrance for library parking. Library visitors will have dedicated, covered, parking on the first floor, which will be complimentary. Brightline expects to sign the construction contract for the Boca station later this month with construction expected to commence in early 2022.
 
In October, Brightline completed the construction of the new Community Garden for the Junior League of Boca Raton as well as the temporary parking lot for the Downtown Library. Brightline managed and funded the construction of both of these important projects as part of the agreement to build the Brightline station.

Brightline currently serves Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, with its expansion station in Aventura opening in 2022. Brightline’s current construction project to Orlando is over 70 percent complete with over 1,300 daily workers on the job tallying more than four million hours of work. Over an eight-year period, Brightline’s corridor between Miami and Orlando will result in $6.4 billion in economic impact and over 10,000 jobs. Construction of the highly anticipated expansion to Orlando is on track to be complete by the end of 2022, ​​with service to begin in early 2023. Moreover, discussions with local stakeholders remain underway regarding expansion to Disney and Tampa. Brightline projects over nine million annual passengers once all Florida stations are completed. The future expansion of MiamiCentral includes a Miami-Dade commuter rail system with stations in Wynwood, the Design District, Little Haiti, North Miami, and FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus.
