NORTH PALM BEACH_The North Palm Marina Outdoor Lounge is officially open for business.

Located at the marina along the Intracoastal waterfront, guests can enjoy watching the boat traffic from plush outdoor chairs and sofas or Adirondack chairs, as well as order food and drink from Belle's food truck. Safe Harbor opened the original Belle's restaurant at the Newport Shipyard in Rhode Island, followed by a second location at Old Port Cove in December, 2019. 

North Palm Marina General Manager Josh Steib said the lounge is open Thursday through Monday 11 am to 8 pm, and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Beer and wine are available for purchase. Food choices include appetizers like wings and coconut shrimp, salads and handhelds, including burgers, fish and chips and a Cuban Panini.

Steib said they aren't offering happy hour at launch, but saw it as a future possibility. Right now, sipping a cool drink under a palm, watching the yachts go by, is good reason to be happy enough.

They recognized Feray immediately from his years dancing professionally with the original Ballet Florida and were one of the first families to enroll their then-4-year-old daughter Clare in dance classes at his new school. Their daughter quickly fell in love with ballet, and today – after 13 years of training with Feray at his now-renowned Paris Ballet and Dance – Clare, now 17, has earned a coveted trainee spot at The Sarasota Ballet on Florida’s west coast.

“I am so proud that one of Paris Ballet’s very first ballet students has earned such a prestigious training spot with a major ballet company,” Feray said. “It’s wonderful to see one of my students come full circle like this. Clare is incredibly motivated and talented, and I can’t wait to see where her professional career takes her.”

Founded in 1987, The Sarasota Ballet is a full resident professional ballet company with an expansive repertoire that has earned international acclaim. The dancers of Paris Ballet — the prestigious Jupiter school founded by former international professional dancer Jean-Hugues Feray in 2009 — will present two end-of-year showcase performances on June 11 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Kravis Center’s Rinker Playhouse. Incorporating ballet, modern, contemporary, neoclassical, jazz and tap, the June 11 performances will also feature a special guest performance by Ohio’s acclaimed Le Jeune Dance.

South Florida nonprofit, American Humane aims to help these heroes with its Pups4Patriots program, which finds dogs in need of forever homes and trains them to become service dogs for veterans across the country at absolutely no cost to the veterans themselves.

Featuring artifacts and memorabilia that represent the wide range of items that make up the ever-growing historical collections of The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum, the new temporary exhibition includes everything from Floy Mitchell’s flapper dress to a circa 2000 Votomatic voting machine. These items show the breadth of the Boca Raton Historical Society’s collections acquired over the past half-century and tell a story about how Boca Raton has grown and changed since its establishment as a farming village in the 1890s.
