(PRESS RELEASE)_(West Palm Beach, FL – May 22, 2023) As an extension and expansion of the popular exhibit Veni, Vidi, Vici by international portrait artist Serge Strosberg held at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County early this year, the Historical Society of Palm Beach County is now offering an even larger version: Reimagining Palm Beach, now on display for one more week—closing May 30, 2023. The exhibition is an artistic exploration and “pop”-style recreation of some of the more vibrant and colorful characters from the Island’s vibrant Gilded Age, such as Addison Mizner, Marjorie Merriweather Post, Henry Flagler, and The Vanderbilts. Strosberg takes portraits and vintage black-and-white photographs of colorful characters and reimagines them in a modern context, costumed in contemporary vibrant patterns and colors by Lilly Pulitzer or Maus and Hoffman. Descriptions of the historical figures were written by popular Worth Avenue tour guide Rick Rose, author of Palm Beach: The Essential Guide to America’s Legendary Resort Town. "The Historical Society is honored to welcome Serge Strosberg and this special exhibition to the Richard and Pat Johnson History Museum. History and art are integral parts of how we experience and showcase our community's culture," said Jeremy Johnson, Historical Society of Palm Beach County President, and CEO. The exhibition Reimagining Palm Beach by Serge Strosberg is available for viewing one more week (through May 30) at the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, 300 North Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. The museum is open for visitors Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. (PRESS RELEASE)_WEST PALM BEACH, FL (May 17, 2023) Stand-up comedian, actress, podcast host, radio host and television host – Nikki Glaser does it all, and now she’s taking her talents on the road with Nikki Glaser: The Good Girl Tour, coming to the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on June 10 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at kravis.org. Nikki Glaser is one of the funniest female voices in comedy today. For over a decade at clubs across the country, and as the host of three, hit podcasts, Nikki has been honing her shockingly honest, no-holds-barred style of comedy. In that time, she has also executive produced and hosted two TV shows: “Nikki & Sara Live” for MTV (a female-driven pop culture sketch comedy show) and “Not Safe with Nikki Glaser“ for Comedy Central (a daring comedic show that tackled taboo sexual topics). In addition to her shows, Nikki has multiple stand-up specials and late-night TV appearances in which she jokes about her most humiliating moments as a woman in the modern world. Nikki’s past and current struggles with anorexia, depression and anxiety are fair game in both her stand-up and during in-depth interviews like “WTF” with Marc Maron and “JRE” with Joe Rogan. Glaser has become a complete open book on mic - and not just for the laughs; she’s also adamant about being the voice for women that she yearned for as a young, confused, adolescent herself. You can currently find Nikki flexing her over-sharing muscle as the daily host of the podcast “You Up with Nikki Glaser: A Hit of Pod.” Nikki Glaser: The Good Girl Tour is co-presented by the Kravis Center and Outback Presents.
