(PRESS RELEASE)_(West Palm Beach, FL – December 3, 2021) Fatima NeJame, president and chief executive officer of the world renowned Palm Beach Photographic Centre (PBPC), today announced the museum’s next major exhibition:
WE (HEART) NY Visions & Views of Two Great Photographers Gary Hershorn The New, New York City Skyline “Since the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, New York City has undergone an amazing construction boom transforming an iconic skyline known to people the world over into a completely new look. The city has added supertall skyscrapers to Lower Manhattan, to the west side of midtown with Hudson Yards, and to 57th Street with the addition of the pencil towers along the new Billionaires' Row. I have spent the last 10 years documenting this change, trying to incorporate the old with the new as the old gets harder and harder to see. With the help of the sun and moon, I try to show the endless beauty of the worlds most desired destination and capture renowned structures like the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building,” says Gary Hershorn.

Written and directed by Gerard Alessandrini of "Forbidden Broadway" fame, its manages to skewer both "Hamilton" and Broadway shows and personalities in general during a fast-paced 75 minutes that delivers a steady stream of laughs. Led by T.J. Newton, portraying "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, the cast raps its way through how they saved Broadway from "rot" to rhapsodizing about "The Book of No More Mormons." One of the high points is the song, "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Cries," which includes an appearance by Annie herself. It's all great fun, even if you haven't seen "Hamilton." There's enough "Camelot," "Cats," Sondheim and Liza Minelli to keep you entertained. "Spamilton: An American Parody" will be at the Kravis Center through December 5. Tickets are on sale now at the Kravis Center website, kravis.org. --Gerry Barker (PRESS RELEASE)_WEST PALM BEACH, FL (November 20, 2021) – The Raymond F. Marilyn Stasio of Variety mused, “Hip-hop, Broadway showtunes, Viennese waltzes — is there anything this guy can’t write? No, not Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, but Gerard Alessandrini, whose ingenious parody Spamilton simultaneously salutes and sends up Miranda and his signature musical.” Ben Brantley of The New York Times said, “This smart, silly, and often convulsively funny thesis, performed by a motor-mouthed cast that is fluent in many tongues, is the work of that eminent specialist in Broadway anatomy, pathology, and gossip, Gerard Alessandrini.” ABOUT THE CREATOR: GERARD ALESSANDRINI (Creator, Writer, Director) Spamilton: (Creator/ Writer/Director): New York, London, Chicago, Los Angeles, National Tour. (PRESS RELEASE)_ANGRA DO HEROÍSMO, TERCEIRA ISLAND, AZORES – The opening of Zenite Boutique Hotel & Spa brings four-star luxury to Terceira Island in the Azores archipelago of Portugal. With an international airport accessible by direct flight from Boston, Terceira Island is a beautiful and affordable island destination for nature lovers offering dozens of stunning viewpoints, natural rock pools, volcanos to explore and magnificent local wines to sample. Centrally located in the World Heritage Town of Angra do Heroísmo (Angra), Zenite Boutique Hotel was born from the restoration and transformation of historic ruins, including an 18th century manor house, damaged by an earthquake in 1980. Zenite Boutique Hotel is a contemporary full-service hotel with 46 deluxe rooms, including two junior suites, seven master suites, a spa, fitness center, free WIFI and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Its casual fine dining restaurant features traditional regional cuisine in the dining room or al fresco on the terrace with its colorful vertical garden. "The Gold and Silver Route" is the inspiration behind the hotel’s décor which is a testament to the city’s maritime history. During Portugal’s Golden Age of Discovery in the 15th and 16th centuries, Angra served as a principal port of call for ships from the Portuguese East India Company filled with gold, silver, spices and other goods coming to Europe from Africa and the East and West Indies. "The evolution of the city and its architecture reflects the collective memory of people and places," says hotel owner João Luís Gonçalves. "More than just buildings, these historic structures reflect the personality and spirit of the Angrense people as festive, hospitable and open to the world." According to Gonçalves, a very rare coin was discovered when the hotel was being built. In 1829 the citizens of Angra do Heroísmo melted down church bells and religious artifacts to mint the new coin. The idea and process were so "crazy," the coin was named Maluco, valued at 80 reis, as can be seen on the replica displayed in the hotel. In addition to Zenite Boutique Hotel & Spa, as CEO of the Zenite Group, Gonçalves owns the two-star Zenite, also located in Angra, and Zenitravel, a travel agency and tour operator dedicated to promoting the Azores and planning vacations for travelers coming from around the world.
