FAU Bobblehead Now Available

(Press Release) To celebrate March Madness and the start of the NCAA Tournament, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled two officially licensed Florida Atlantic Owls Bobbleheads. On Friday, Florida Atlantic will tip off against Northwestern in the NCAA Tournament as the Owls look to make another deep run in March. The officially licensed bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of Florida Atlantic.

• The bobbleheads, which are scheduled to ship in August, are $35 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.
• Each bobblehead will be individually numbered to 2,024.
• The bobbleheads feature Florida Atlantic’s mascots, Hoot and Owlsley standing on a base with Florida Atlantic’s colors and the Florida Atlantic logo in the background.
• Seeded 8th in the East Region, Florida Atlantic will take on 9th-seeded Northwestern in the First Round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 22nd in Brooklyn, New York.
• Introduced in 2011, the 6-foot Owlsley instantly became Florida Atlantic’s biggest fan. With his large muscles and gazing blue eyes, the popular owl is seen all over campus and is easily the center of attention. Owlsley’s 5-foot-2 sidekick, Hoot, arrived on the scene eight years later. How did the two first connect? According to the university’s website, “Walking through the FAU Preserve, Owlsley met a gopher tortoise who spun a tale of an adventurous baby burrowing owl. Looking high and low, Owlsley soon tripped over a small burrow and Hoot emerged. They talked for hours about life, love, and FAU. After that, the two were inseparable.”
