(PRESS RELEASE)_PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – The past 12 months will go down as one of the most difficult stretches in the history of the restaurant industry. But staff members at one local restaurant are benefitting thanks to #RestaurantChallenge. The campaign launched by the Certified Angus Beef ® brand is aimed at getting customers back to dining with restaurants – whether that's dining in, or getting to-go orders – and driving dollars back into the industry at a time when it’s needed most.

On April 13, the staff at III Forks, 4645 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, received a $2,500 “big tip” given to two restaurants across the country each week as part of #RestaurantChallenge. Each III Forks staff member was presented with a $100 gift card.

“We’re honored to win this incredible award. It’s been a very tough year and I’m proud of how my staff and our customers rallied through it,” says Tommy Nevill, proprietor and general manager of III Forks. “Providing the best service to the community is our main focus.” 

The social media campaign spurs consumers to use the hashtag #RestaurantChallenge on Instagram and Facebook when posting their dining experiences. Each post enters them into a drawing for one of many $100 gift cards being awarded each week. By tagging the restaurant where they’re dining, they also enter that restaurant’s staff into a drawing for one of the $2,500 prizes that will be shared among the team. 

“Restaurants play such an important role in our society,” says Deanna Walenciak, Certified Angus Beef® vice president of marketing. “They’re places where we celebrate some of the most important moments of our lives. We encourage everyone to go out and support their favorite restaurants, and please use the hashtag, so they can win and can continue to go back out and support these wonderful places.”

JOIN THE CHALLENGE
There’s lots of ways to get involved, but what’s most important is supporting your favorite restaurant. Pick what works best for you. 

1. Support a local restaurant by ordering carryout or delivery, dining in (where possible) or purchasing gift cards.
   
2. Share something good: other ways to participate include: tipping big, posting a five-star review or leaving a kind note showing you care on your receipt.
   
3. Post a photo of your meal (or favorite restaurant memory) on Facebook or Instagram using #RestaurantChallenge. You’ll be entered for a chance to win a $100 visa gift card to dine out again.
   
4. Tag your favorite restaurant in the post. They’ll be entered for a chance to win $2,500 in support for their staff. (That’s a big tip!)
