Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar Opens at The Gardens

It's finally here -- the new Tommy Bahama store and adjacent Marlin Bar opened this week at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens.

Located on the upper level near Nordstrom, we dropped in for Happy Hour (every day, 3-6 pm) to check it out. Guests can choose to sit at the bar or at a table in their open-air patio. If you're at a table, you'll need to place your order at the front, where you get a number and an open tab on your credit card.

Their Happy Hour menu features a selection of wines, beers, cocktails and martinis. We both went with the Pineapple Paradisio martini ($10), which arrived with an elegant, edible, floating flower. For food, we had Dual Dips ($10) and the Crispy Tots ($5). You can find their food menu here.

A guitarist provided live music while we enjoyed a breeze that was gently swaying the nearby palm trees. For that moment, we were on their trademark "island time."
