(PRESS RELEASE)_West Palm Beach, Fla. – The YMCA of the Palm Beaches, located in the heart of Palm Beach County and serving the community since 1917, has welcomed Robert Alexander as its new Membership and Marketing Director. As the Membership and Marketing Director, Alexander will work to create a cause-centered culture that builds the community’s understanding of the YMCA’s impact. His responsibilities will include budget planning, digital marketing, program development, event planning, sponsorship support, and enrollment & retention. As a community liaison, he will promote the Y’s programs and maintain a staff dedicated to providing a nurturing environment.
“I want to promote a community of care,” said Alexander. “I am excited to join the YMCA of the Palm Beaches in an effort to truly support the community at large in all aspects and interests of life,” he added.
Alexander has been in the industry for nearly 10 years and has expertise in hospitality, marketing, event management, and fundraising. Previously, he held the elite title of “Captain Fun” in his role as Cruise Director for American Cruise Lines. Alexander believes relationships to be the key to success and prides himself on his involvement with many worthwhile organizations throughout Florida.
As an adventure seeker, Alexander finds joy in leading others through fun and healthy lifestyle approaches. He enjoys spending time with his family in West Palm Beach and enjoys traveling far and wide to enrich his educational and cultural development.
Alexander graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations alongside a minor in Marketing.
