Next time you crave Italian, you should try Allora, the recently-opened eatery in North Palm Beach. Located in the Shoppes at Village Square at 420 US Highway 1, it features a variety of pizza and pasta choices -- all good, we might add. Along with traditional favorites like spaghetti, lasagna and ravioli, they offer thin crust, New York-style pizza, calzone and stromboli, burgers and subs and a wide range of desserts, including cannoli, cheesecake and two of our favorites -- baked Alaska and bananas foster. Beware of their garlic knot rolls -- they are killer good, hot from the oven with olive oil. Trust us -- you can't stop eating them. You can dine in or grab a table on the adjacent patio and enjoy your meal al fresco by the palm trees. That's usually where we land. Also, see if they are featuring their lunch special: Two very large slices of pizza, a drink and a salad for $7.99. Hard to beat! Allora is open daily 11 am-10 pm and offers dine in, delivery or take out. It's Italian done right.
