Celebrate New Year's at Blackbird Modern Asian

(PRESS RELEASE)_​Ever noticed how perfectly New Year’s Eve and bucket lists go together?  If the idea of bidding the year goodbye at a world-class countdown landmark in Hong Kong, Kyoto, or Singapore is a trip your list can handle, but not your air miles, then commemorate the year’s most convivial occasion at Blackbird Modern Asian, instead. 
 
The glamorous hotspot will roll out the razzle-dazzle with Instagrammable entertainment and a taste of the Asia Pacific on Sunday, December 31 from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

​Executive chef Tim Nickey has assembled a four-course prix fixe menu ($175 per person without tax and gratuity) curated with Pan-Asian masterpieces, a glass of champagne for toasting, and a decadent lobster pancake amuse-bouche. Stand-outs include Mongolian brisket buns with green apple, pickled Fresno chilies, and hoisin sauce; Chinese BBQ sticky beef short ribs with honey-soy glaze and crispy shallots; beef and broccoli with New York strip steak, gai lan, and sweet soy sauce; miso black cod in sizzling soy vinaigrette with baby bok choy; King crab fried rice with five vegetable, Thai basil, egg, chili paste, and lime; and chow fun with shiitake, wide Cantonese rice noodles, mushroom soy sauce, garlic chives, and truffle. (An a la carte menu will be available, but does not include champagne and amuse-bouche.)
 
No one does sweet endings better than Blackbird’s award-winning, executive pastry chef Denise Elrod. Fork into the Chinese 5-spice bread pudding bites complemented with miso apple compote, salted caramel gelato, apple chips, and dulce pearls, or indulge in the chocolate bomb. Crafted from chocolate cake, salted caramel peanut brittle ice cream, caramelized bananas, and fresh strawberries, this head-turning dessert comes with warm dark chocolate sauce poured tableside. 
 
DJ Karina will spin from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. and guests around for the midnight countdown will be treated to a dazzling sparkler display. 
 
Reservations for all party sizes will be accepted and are highly recommended. Walk-ins are on a first-come, first-served basis only. Seating commences at 4 p.m.
