DELRAY BEACH, FL – National Oyster Day is Saturday, August 5, so get your seafood slurp on at City Oyster in Delray Beach. The celebrated half-shell haven and executive chef Jordan Stilley will offer $1 off Bluepoint oysters during Happy Hour, along with 2-for-1 cocktails, beer, and select wine pours at the bar only. Guests who order a dozen oysters on the half shell (market price) during dinner will enjoy a complimentary glass of chilled prosecco. City Oyster’s rotating oyster varieties include:
Barstool Cocktail This shuck-ready cocktail oyster from Rustico, Prince Edward Island (PEI) offers a clean, crisp, salty yet sweet flavor. Pair with a cheers-worthy craft cocktail like City Oyster's chilled cucumber martini loaded with Nolet's gin, simple syrup, and muddled cucumbers, lemon, and lime. Black Magic Like their racy name, these dark, brown-shelled beauties from Thunder Cove, PEI are magically delicious. Seafood connoisseurs tout the mollusk’s plump and crunchy meat, smooth salinity, and vegetal finish. Bluepoint These famous Long Island favorites have graced oyster menus since the early 1800s and are beloved for their mild, subtle salty flavor. Fat Dog These meaty bivalves are prided for their silky sweet flavor and grassy tones and hail from Great Bay, New Hampshire. Mamma Mia Hailing from Canada (eh!), these magnificent oysters combine a nice medium brine with a slightly fruity finish. Moondancer Pucker up: These Maine-grown gems have a distinct sweet-and-salty taste duality and pair perfectly with a crisp Chardonnay or hoppy IPA beer. City Oyster's mollusk-centric menu features a classic Caesar Salad with fried oysters ($23), Oysters Rockefeller ($20), Oysters Casino ($20), and the Grand Plateau ($87), a decadent showstopper loaded with oysters, Maine lobster, littlenecks, cocktail shrimp, jumbo lump blue crab meat, and dipping sauces. City Oyster & Sushi Bar is located at 213 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach. For more information, call (561) 272-0220 or visit cityoysterdelray.com. Comments are closed.
