Last year, we had our first encounter with Duke & Dame, an award-winning flavored whiskey  launched in Miami by founders Amani Macaulay and Chima Burey.  ​This week, Duke & Dame was in the spotlight at Total Wine & More at Legacy Place in Palm Beach Gardens. It's the perfect time to catch up on the latest with their product.

Q.  What's new with the brand?

A. Amani and Chima: Since we last talked, we have begun new partnerships and expanded in others.  We are now being served in MGM, Hyatt, Hilton, Royal Caribbean, Ruth’s Chris and Sandals Resorts.  We have also expanded our relationship with Carnival Cruise Lines, and Duke & Dame is now being served in their entire fleet worldwide.

In this past year, we have also launched internationally.  We are currently in select Caribbean Islands, including Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos, Aruba, USVI, BVI, Jamaica and Puerto Rico.  We are excited about the growth of Duke & Dame and look forward to expanding in throughout the Caribbean in the next year.

Q. Last time we talked, you were considering launching new flavored whiskeys. Have you and are there any more being considered?

A. We are still considering launching new flavors and other alcoholic beverage offerings as well.  We have been very satisfied with the brand recognition that we have built, and since our customers have been asking for more flavors, we are absolutely committed to bringing more great products to the market.

Q. What are your priorities and plans coming up?
A. We launched Duke & Dame in South Florida four years ago, and since then we have expanded to Michigan, New York, Maryland, and Washington D.C.  In the future, we plan to increase distribution to all 50 states and to other international markets.  We want all consumers to have the opportunity to experience our awarding-winning flavored whiskey wherever they are.
