Flavor Palm Beach is in full swing, and goes through the end of this month. Currently there are some 50 restaurants participating (See the list HERE). After over a year of lockdown, it's a good excuse to get back on the local food scene.
One of the stops we made this week was an encore to one we visited during the August Restaurant Week -- the Leopard Lounge at the Chesterfield Hotel on Palm Beach. This time around, we had their Flavor Palm Beach lunch instead of the dinner. The three-course lunch is priced at $20, and includes a starter (Caesar or Greek Salad), an entree (Crab Cakes, Beef Burger or Club Sandwich) and dessert (Brownie a la Mode or ice cream). We both opted for the Greek Salad, while Pam chose the crab cakes and I went with club sandwich. We both had the brownie for dessert. First off, if you haven't been there, it provides a great setting for a meal -- opulent without being ostentatious, with an inviting tropical outdoor area (too warm to use the day we were there). Plus the food is outstanding. We enjoyed every course. Our one complaint on this visit was the service, normally topnotch. We weren't offered the Flavor Palm Beach menu (had to ask) and our young server seemed distracted at first, but did improve as the meal progressed. All in all, it's a great way to enjoy a leisurely lunch on the Island. For more on our dinner there, GO HERE.
