We just returned from a most relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Hilton Singer Island (more about that to come), but while there we discovered the newest thing (for us) in the hotel business: Digital keys. You start by downloading the Hilton app to your iPhone. Once you log in, it brings up your reservation. One of the features of the app is "Request a Digital Key." Hey, we're all about digital, so we requested it. Here's what we discovered: The first attempt to use it wasn't the charm. Undeterred, we gave it another go. Pretty cool, right?
One word of advice: After successfully activating our digital key, the regular old plastic ones didn't work. We didn't ask, so it could be just a glitch. You don't really need them -- just don't forget your iPhone. Comments are closed.
