![]() (PRESS RELEASE)_Boca Raton, Fla. – The Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center (Levis JCC) continues its special J Israel 75 programming, celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the birth of the State of Israel. Israel's Independence Day (Yom Ha’atzmaut), which falls on April 26th, commemorates the establishment of the modern state of Israel in 1948. While people in Israel typically celebrate the day with fireworks, concerts, barbeques and gatherings, the Levis JCC has curated a Spring program of guest appearances, literary discussions, events, films and music to celebrate the occasion in South Palm Beach County. The J Israel 75 cultural programming is designed to celebrate Israel’s heritage, culture, and accomplishments reflecting on the birth, growth, success and future of the small but mighty country. “The 75th anniversary of Israel’s independence is an occasion for reflection, celebration and dialogue, and the Levis JCC is proud to play a part in marking this historic milestone,” said Stephanie Owitz, Director of Arts, Culture and Learning, Levis JCC’s Sandler Center. “We invite and encourage our neighbors of all faiths who are interested in expanding their knowledge of Israel’s multi-faceted culture to join us in our celebration.” “We are honored to commemorate this meaningful anniversary together with our community and are grateful for the generous support of Nina and Marty Rosenzweig who helped us bring our vision to life,” said Judi Shulman, J Israel 75 Programming Chair.
Whether a member of the Jewish community or simply interested in learning more about the Israeli culture and history, the J Israel 75 cultural programming captures the spirit of the anniversary and promises to be an exciting and engaging experience for a broad range of people in the community.
