(PRESS RELEASE)_Delray Beach, Fla. – On Saturday, October 20, the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens will host its most popular annual event, Lantern Festival: In the Spirit of Obon.
Inspired by Obon, Japan’s traditional holiday honoring ancestors who return for a brief visit to the living, the festival will include an evening of traditional Japanese folk-dancing, taiko drumming, Ennichi street fair, arts and crafts, fireworks show, and a candlelit lantern floating ceremony to honor the spirits of family ancestors. NOTE: This event is sold out. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door on the day of the event.
