![]() By GERRY BARKER Motown came to the Kravis Center Wednesday night with the debut of Broadway's "Ain't Too Proud to Beg: The Life and Times of the Temptations." A sold out crowd was treated to what seemed like a nonstop cavalcade of hits from the 60s and 70s, including the show's title song, "My Girl," "Cloud Nine," "I Wish It Would Rain, "I Can't Get Next to You" and many other hits from the Motown era. Led by Otis Williams (played by Michael Andreaus), it traces the group's rise to the top of the charts against a backdrop of the civil rights and social issues that defined that era. Featuring stellar performances and a compelling stage production, you'll be tapping your toes and wishing the Kravis had a dance floor before it's over. "Ain't Too proud" will be at the Kravis through April 30. To purchase tickets, visit the official Kravis Center website www.kravis.org, call (561) 832-7469 or visit the Box Office during regular box office hours Monday through Saturday from Noon to 5 p.m. Comments are closed.
