(PRESS RELEASE)_(West Palm Beach, FL – October 2, 2020) The current COVID pandemic has had many negative reverberations, curtailing numerous joyous gatherings from family reunions to indoor nuptials. Outdoor weddings, however, are not only allowed but highly recommended, and—in compliance with current county, state and public health department guidelines--Mounts Botanical Garden can now welcome up to 35 people for a gorgeous and charming al fresco ceremony. “We are delighted to welcome friends and visitors and romantic couples of every variety to Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest botanical garden,” says Mounts Curator Director Rochelle Wolberg. “Our 14-acre tropical oasis offers numerous locations for the perfect outdoor wedding, such as the intimate Gazebo Garden, the Rose and Fragrance Garden, the Rainbow Garden, and the spacious Great Lawn.” “The lush tropical foliage and flowering trees in the garden areas ensure a romantic, all-natural backdrop for both the ceremony and the amazing post-wedding photographs,” she adds. “The period between November and June is particularly desirable for weddings at Mounts Botanical Garden because more of the flowering plants are in glorious bloom.” For information about booking a wedding, including time frames, garden venues and rental fees, or to make an appointment for a site tour, please send an email to [email protected]. Conveniently located just minutes away from downtown West Palm Beach, Mounts Botanical Garden is now open to the public 9 am to 3 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, under the following health and safety guidelines: + Entrance is limited to no more than 100 people at a time. + Social distancing is required throughout the garden. + All picnic tables have been removed. + Admission to the garden has been reduced to $10 (ages 13+); $5 (children 5-12), and free for members. Still available for viewing at Mounts Botanical Garden is the family-friendly and ecology-conscious exhibition Cutting Corners: A Stickwork Exhibition, a massive, willow sculpture located in the Great Lawn area.
