(PRESS RELEASE)_(West Palm Beach, FL – January 30, 2024) Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden will soon host one of its most anticipated annual plant sales: Winter Plant-A-Palooza, February 10-11. “Our Winter Plant Sale will feature more than 40 of Florida’s highest quality and well-known plant growers and experts at our beautiful 20-acre oasis, located just minutes from downtown West Palm Beach,” promises Mounts Botanical Garden’s Interim Co-Director Misty Stoller. “Visitors can fully engage in the world of plants, learn new gardening techniques, and discover what’s trending in floral design, while also catching our current awesome new exhibit ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN.” February 10-11
Plant-A-Palooza Winter Plant Sale + Saturday: 8:00 am to 9:00 am, members only preview; 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, open to public; last entry at 3:30 pm + Sunday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, open to public; last entry at 2:30 pm FREE for members. For nonmembers: $20 (adults); $18 (seniors 6+, college students and military with ID); $13 (ages 6-17); FREE for children under 6 and AHS Reciprocal Admission Program members. Note: Tickets are nonrefundable. Admission is by credit/debit card ONLY; no cash.) Currently on exhibit at Mounts through May 12: ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN Created by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box, 20 larger-than-life sculptures inspired by the ancient Japanese art of origami emerge skyward throughout Mounts—each one a stunning merger of art and nature enhancing and celebrating the verdant environment. From traditional soaring cranes and gliding planes, to galloping ponies, emerging butterflies, and even a boat, Kevin Box takes origami to another level, transforming traditional Japanese topics into museum-quality metal sculptures.
