PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, after 23 years, Jack Daniels has retired as head coach of the Panthers football team at W.T. Dwyer High School; and WHEREAS, in 1999, the Panthers football team began a 15-year streak of playoff appearances and were state semifinalists from 2008 - 2011; and WHEREAS, Coach Daniels guided the Panthers to Dwyer’s first-ever state title in 2009; and WHEREAS, in 2013, the Panthers finished a perfect 15-0 season with their second state title; and WHEREAS, during his tenure, Coach Daniels sent more than 100 players to college programs and seven players to the NFL; and WHEREAS, under the leadership of Coach Daniels, the Dwyer Panthers won 234 games, appeared in 19 playoffs, won two state titles, and never had a losing season; and WHEREAS, in addition to his coaching acumen, Mr. Daniels is recognized as an outstanding teacher in the Exceptional Education Program at W.T. Dwyer High School; and WHEREAS, having attended North Palm Beach Elementary School and residing in the Village through his high-school years, North Palm Beach is Jack Daniels’ hometown; and WHEREAS, Jack Daniels has dedicated his career to fostering excellence in youth sports and academics; and WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to acknowledge and publicly commend Jack Daniels for his valued services rendered in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, on this 9th day of May, 2019, the Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, hereby presents this Commendation to Jack Daniels. Comments are closed.
