Summer is almost upon us, and as we on the Eastern Seaboard of South Florida seek excitement, rest and relaxation on the sugary-sands of our glorious beaches, sometimes finding refuge in the quiet, cool indoors is good for the senses. So, when you are looking around for something interesting, intellectually stimulating or just plain fun in the cool, check out the area library locations. For example, take a quick look at the the calendar of the Lake Park Public Library and you will see many fascinating upcoming events. One such event is a speaking engagement by, Frank Cerabino, columnist at The Palm Beach Post. Mr. Cerabino willl speak at the Lake Park Public Library on June 8 at 7 pm on "How Reading Leads to Writing." A couple of dedicated Friends of the Library, board members Muriel and Irv Seidman, tell us they will even be serving light refreshments at the event. Sounds good! So, get some sun, sand, and surf this summer, but don't forget to add a splash of culture, courtesy of the Lake Park Public Library, located at 529 Park Avenue in Lake Park (561-881-3330).
