(PRESS RELEASE)_MIAMI, Fla. (January 9, 2020) - Gather those little paleontologists and jump on board Brightline to begin your journey to Expedition: Dinosaur presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) in Fort Lauderdale. On select weekends from January to March, Brightline will be the official envoy to and from the special prehistoric exhibition taking place at the Museum. Board the Brightline Dino Train in either Miami or West Palm Beach to begin the exciting journey to the Museum, where riders will get the chance to meet a “Dino Keeper” and a baby dinosaur onboard. Once at the Museum, guests can put themselves in the shoes of scientists to discover how fossils were excavated in the past and see the cutting-edge technology used today, and learn how dinosaurs flourished in prehistoric times. “We are excited to collaborate with the Museum of Discovery and Science to provide a fun and interactive experience for guests,” said Johanna Rojas, Brightline’s vice president of marketing. “Brightline delivers themed-family experiences onboard throughout the year including the holiday Polar Express, Trick or Train for Halloween and the Dino Train builds on our tradition of creating lasting memories for all ages.” “Children of all ages are fascinated with prehistoric life and that excitement never goes extinct! Through this partnership, Brightline travelers and Museum visitors will examine evidence, conduct research and follow in the footsteps of scientists,” said Joseph P. Cox, president and CEO of MODS. “The MODS Dino Keepers and baby dinosaurs will engage and educate travelers on their way to Mesozoic Era at the Museum. Upon arrival, they will roam among the dinosaurs, explore a paleontologist camp and explore interactive opportunities throughout the Museum.” Tickets, priced at $35 per guest, include a round trip train ride and entry to the Museum of Discovery and Science along with a special safari hat and goodie bag. MODS is a short seven-minute stroll from the Brightline Fort Lauderdale Station. Event dates for the Dino Train are January 25-26, February 8-9, February 22-23, March 7-8, March 14-15 and March 21-22.
