Safebound Spearheads Turkey Giveaway

(PRESS RELEASE)_WEST PALM BEACH – With a bumpy economy and the coronavirus pandemic still looming, one West Palm Beach company wants to make 2021 a year to remember, instead of one to forget. And it’ll do it with the help of some local heroes.

In the first of two holiday initiatives, Safebound Moving & Storage is giving away 500 turkeys on Sunday, November 21 at 9 a.m. to feed families in need this Thanksgiving. The drive to bring holiday cheer is a joint effort with the West Palm Beach Police Department and the West Palm Beach Police Athletic League (PAL).

 In December, Safebound will team up again with PAL to host a Christmas gift drive for at-risk teens in West Palm Beach.

 “At Safebound, we have a commitment to the community,” said Michael Greco, founder of Safebound Moving & Storage. “The last few years have been hard for everyone, and we want to do whatever we can to ease the burden on families in need this holiday season.”

 This is Safebound's second year of holiday giving. In 2020, the moving company brought the holidays to six local group homes in West Palm Beach, by providing Christmas trees and presents for all the children. 
“So many charities face logistical and transportation issues once they've collected items for donations...such as where to store them, how to transport them, and sheer manpower. We have all of those areas covered, and as a local company, we believe that if you have the power to fix something, it’s your responsibility to do so,” added Safebound's human resources manager, Andrew Cain.
