Sand on the Beach: Food with a View
The name is straight from Captain Obvious:
Sand on the Beach.
We discovered this oasis of food and drink on a recent trip up the coast to Melbourne Beach and the Ocean Pines Motel. Located a shell's throw from the beach, with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, it's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Known for their "Wicked Sauce," a combination of 20 different ingredients that include four kinds of hot peppers, crab meat, shrimp and parmigiana cheese, they offer a wide range of seafood options, salads, sandwiches and entrees.
With its colorful beach-theme murals and laid-back beach vibe, it's the place to relax, sip a drink and watch the waves roll in off the Atlantic. Upstairs is another popular hangout -- the Bikini Bar, where Happy Hour starts at 11 am and goes to 7 pm. Now there's a place you can be happy all day.
