(PRESS RELEASE)_(Palm Beach County, FL – October 20, 2023) TheLoxahatchee Group of the Sierra Club Florida Chapter is encouraging supporters and local eco-activists to attend next Tuesday’s meeting of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners. “There are 10 major items on the Board’s Agenda that are of critical importance to anyone concerned about promoting and protecting our critical Ag Reserve—all on one day,” says Drew Martin, Conservation Chair of the Sierra Club Loxahatchee Group. “Nine of the Agenda items need to be publicly opposed, and one pro-green item is worthy of community support.”
The meeting starts at 9:30 am on Tuesday, October 24, in the Palm Beach County Robert Weisman Governmental Center, 6th floor Commission Chambers, 301 N. Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach 33401. “It could be a long, contentious meeting, so we encourage people to pack lunch—and maybe even dinner—before showing up at the Jane M. Thompson Memorial Chambers,” adds Martin. “Keep in mind that concerned citizens need to fill out a Speakers Card on each item if they wish to express their thoughts or concern.” 10 Critical Items on the Agenda
“Please attend and let your voices be heard before they are silenced forever by greedy developers,” says Martin. Comments are closed.
