Barrio's eponymous wings are a culinary gem. Barrio Wings ($13) feature a secret rub loaded with smoky peppers, Spanish paprika, chili powder, adobo, garlic, oregano, and dry chilies. Roasted then lightly floured and fried at a high temp to get them really crispy. Finally, they're tossed in a saffron spiced honey butter and served with a chefmade blue cheese dipping sauce. "Our wings are inspired by Latin street fare and cooked with Spanish ingredients and a Floridian flare," says executive chef Rolando Anoceto. "They're one of my favorite menu items and taste great paired with one of Barrio's local draft beers."

Probably not the first choice for a blind date, but the chicken wings at Josie's Ristorante are impossible to pass up. The family-owned Italian hotspot serves up some of the juiciest Wings Diavolo (10 for $12) in central Palm Beach County. Choice of wing styles are dry, mild, hot, garlic, and bbq. Sauces include blue cheese, mild, hot, and garlic ($0.60 each). End your meal with a thick slice of heaven like Josie's seismic, sixteen layer chocolate cake. Go ahead and forget your diet for a day.
