(PRESS RELEASE)_This Valentine’s Day, North Palm Beach’s ardent love affair with Blackbird Modern Asian serves as the perfect setting to get Cupid’s arrow flying. Anchored by a colossal golden Buddha, elevated works of modern art, and a cherry blossom tree radiating a pale-pink glow, the epicurean hotspot reinvents Pan-Asian classics in a glamorous setting unlike anywhere else in the Sunshine State. Executive chef and partner Tim Nickey and executive pastry chef and chocolatier Denise Elrod had amour in mind when they prepared the four-course prix-fixe menu ($75 per person; excludes tax and gratuity) with offerings both refined and occasionally playful. For bar patrons, an à la carte menu spotlights small and large plates and a selection of sweet endings.
Not-to-be-missed specials include pan-seared branzino on sticky rice, KFC/Korean fried chicken, and an 8 oz wagyu filet elevated with lobster mashed potatoes. For dessert, Elrod, who won a dessert competition on “Guy’s Grocery Games,” flexes her ingenuity with cotton candy-topped raspberry-matcha tiramisu and chocolate molten cake presented in a porcelain to-go box.
