(PRESS RELEASE)_On Friday, April 5, YMCA of the Palm Beaches will host its 5th Annual Golf Classic at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.
More than 120 golfers and guests are expected to attend the much-anticipated Golf Classic, which will be played on The Champ, home to the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic. Golf enthusiasts will have the opportunity to play where the top pros play during this rare opportunity. “We're very grateful to PGA National for allowing us this exclusive opportunity to play The Champ,” said Peter Thate, Development Director of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. “We encourage golfers of all skill levels to join us for this event. It’s a great way to help the kids and families at the Y.” The event will begin with practice and a continental breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Guests will enjoy lunch, a silent auction, and an awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Tickets cost $350-1,400. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Y’s Summer Day Camp financial assistance program.
