![]() (PRESS RELEASE)_West Palm Beach, Fla. – The YMCA of the Palm Beaches commits to helping its community stick to their new year’s resolutions all 365 days of the year through its fun and educational programming. According to ResearchGate, about half of all adults make New Year’s resolutions, however, fewer than 10% manage to keep them for more than a few months. From health and fitness classes to celebrating its community’s diversity, the YMCA of the Palm Beaches fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for all ages in a safe and nurturing environment throughout the year. YMCA of the Palm Beaches is located in the heart of Palm Beach County and has served the community since 1917. Highlighted below are just some of the January programs-at-a-glance. Plus, all community members will enjoy no joining fee the entire month of January. Latin Dancing with Grigol Kranz Date: Saturday, January 18 Time: 3 p.m. – Salsa 4 p.m. – Bachata Cost: $5 Members; $8 Community Champion ballroom dancer and fitness instructor Grigol Kranz puts his dancing shoes on to teach our community how they can have fun while staying active and engaged. MLK Multi-cultural Day of Play Date: Monday, January 20 Time: 1 pm – 3 pm Cost: Free and Open to the public Join the Playground Legends at the YMCA of the Palm Beaches for its MLK Day of Play. This event is in celebration of multicultural inclusiveness and a way to bring kids together from all walks of life. Attendees will enjoy food trucks, games and sports. Winterfest Preschool Open House Date: Friday, January 24 Time: 1 pm – 3 pm Cost: Free and Open to the public Join the YMCA for an afternoon of fun and refreshments as parents and future students engage in a “day in the life of preschool” experience. P.U.B. Trivia Night FUNdraiser Date: Wednesday, January 29 Time: 3:30 pm Cost: $5 donation to GStar Organization P.U.B. (People (for) Universal Benefits) YMCA of the Palm Beaches is hosting its first monthly fundraising quiz night with P.U.B and WellCare Health Plans. Ticket includes light bites and a chance at fabulous prizes. Parent’s Night Out Date: Friday, January 31 Time: 6 pm – 9 pm Cost: $15 Members; $20 Community The YMCA of the Palm Beaches takes the time to show appreciation to all of the hard-working parents in the community. This evening is geared towards kids ages 4-12 and includes a poolside Dive-In movie night, craft circle, kids gaming zone and more. Reservations due by 5 pm on January 29.
